One of our most common requests has been for Wiley branded education courses and events to count for Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) professional development credits. We listened. We now offer SHRM credential-holders the opportunity to earn PDCs from the Society for Human Resource Management.
You can qualify for PDCs through our education offerings for Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors™, and PXT Select™. This means you can earn credits toward recertification while completing Wiley training, thus saving you money on potential additional training requirements.
Why this Matters?
If you hold a SHRM Certified Professional or SHRM Senior Certified Professional credential, PDCs (Professional Development Credits) are required to maintain the credential. See SHRM’s Handbook for the most recent PDC requirements.
Wiley has been approved to award PDCs for our educational programs to SHRM credential-holders because Wiley’s courses cover topics in SHRM’s Body of Competency and Knowledge, for example, “Relationship Management” and “Communication.”
How Many PDCs are Awarded for Wiley Courses?
- Everything DiSC Essentials – 3 PDCs
- Everything DiSC Workplace Certification – 15 PDCs
- PXT Select Expert Practitioner Certification – 12 PDCs
- The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Accreditation – 19 PDCs
- The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team Re-Accreditation – 3 PDCs
How are PDCs Calculated?
We award 1 PDC for each hour of educational time.
How can You Redeem PDCs Earned Through Wiley Courses?
You will receive an Activity ID upon completion of the course, which you can use to report PDCs earned on SHRM’s Recertification Portal. For more instructions, please visit the SHRM Recertification Handbook.
